Thank you to everyone who joined us at Bella Loma Tasting Room & Distillery this past weekend for our first community social.

The family-owned Spicewood distillery kept the margaritas flowing while Brian Andrew Lee provided the soundtrack. Great appetizers, beautiful views, a crowd in no hurry to leave - it felt like the kind of afternoon this community needs more of.

If you couldn't make it, Bella Loma is absolutely worth a visit. Tucked away in Spicewood, it's one of those places that feels like you've discovered a local secret.

Alright, alright, alright. Austin's own Matthew McConaughey recently shared what he considers the perfect day in Austin - complete with his favorite stops along the way.

Lakeway’s Original Resort. In 1963, the Lakeway Inn and Marina opened on the shores of Lake Travis as the centerpiece of a new lakeside resort community. Visitors came for boating, golf, and weekends away in the Hill Country, helping transform a quiet stretch of ranchland into what would eventually become the Lakeway we know today.

More than 60 years later, the property is entering another chapter. Now operating as Lakeway Resort & Spa, the landmark was recently acquired by a real estate development firm, which plans to modernize the resort. Planned improvements include refreshed indoor and outdoor spaces, updated guestrooms, expanded wellness programming, and new food and beverage concepts.

The lake views haven't changed much since 1963. Everything else is about to.
