Ways to Shop and Support Local
Plus a sneak peek at local July 4th celebrations

Today’s water level: 43.7%

Why It’s Called Bee Cave. It’s not just a quirky moniker - it’s literal. Back in the 1800s, early settlers stumbled upon limestone caves along Little Barton Creek buzzing with wild Mexican honeybees. Imagine walking into a cave so packed with bees you could hear the hum echo off the walls. Those “bee caves” made such an impression that the name stuck, and now here we are, a whole city later, still buzzing.
Now, onto a few things we think you’ll love this week:
Real Estate Replay. The Lakeway home that broke our click counter is back and still making an impression.
Midweek Market Pick. Why this local market is more than just produce and goods.
Adoptable Pet. She’s got charm, smarts, and surprise talent you’ll want to see for yourself.

Where did you grow up? |
Last week’s poll results are in:
Have you been to a local farmer’s market in the past six months?
Turns out, most of you are market regulars - 90% said yes. So, we’re making local farmers markets a regular feature. First up: Lakeway Nights Market.

Photo from Lakeway Nights Market Facebook
Lakeway Nights Market isn’t your typical farmers market. It’s a midweek hangout that’s part fresh haul, part front-porch vibes. You’ll find everything from just-picked produce to fresh-baked pastries and handmade goods that make you proud to shop local.
We stopped by when the market first kicked off and instantly loved the vibrant and authentic energy. We snagged homemade cookies for our kid, olive oil for our pantry, chili oil we now put on practically everything, and sampled some seriously tasty bites from Southern Steer Butcher. Since then, it’s only gotten bigger and better with even more local vendors and friendly faces.
Bonus: Every last Wednesday of the month, they roll in a car show with classic rides, live music, and plenty of reasons to linger a little longer.
📍 Lohmans Crossing Center, 2300 Lohmans Spur Rd
🗓️ Every Wednesday evening from 4-8pm (hours may shift seasonally)
