The Best Ways to Kick Off Summer

Plus the grand opening of a tennis academy and return of a Spicewood legend

Today’s water level: 41.4%

Happy Memorial Day Weekend. Years ago, a massive double-decker party barge reportedly sank after a wild Memorial Day weekend bash and now rests at the bottom of Lake Travis.

While that party barge may be permanently anchored, this weekend's celebrations are very much afloat. Here’s what else to expect:

🎾 Game, Set, Match: A tennis academy with pro coaching and summer camps lands in Spicewood later this month.

🎆 Willie’s Back: July 4th Picnic tickets are now on sale - $30 to see a living legend.

🥾 One Trail at a Time: Our weekly Lake Travis Hike series starts now.

Spicewood's newest athletic destination serves up four tennis courts (including a covered court), an indoor gym, and a proper rec room. Legend Tennis Academy officially opens later this month, just in time for their summer camps running June through August for ages 4-15.

Founder Kapil Rajurkar and Head Coach Vince Casariego focus on developing both tennis skills and character, offering programs, camps, and tournaments for everyone from beginners to advanced players.
