Number One. If Austin seemed a little louder than usual Saturday night, there was a reason. Texas entered the fourth quarter down 23–3 to No. 1 Ohio State. Twenty-one unanswered points later, Ohio State was headed home with a 24–23 loss in front of 105,000 people at DKR.
By Sunday afternoon, the Longhorns had taken Ohio State’s spot at No. 1 in the AP poll — their earliest top ranking since 1965. It was also the largest fourth-quarter comeback ever against an AP No. 1 team, which feels like a fairly efficient way to spend 15 minutes of football.

Swing Away. Infinite Hitting opens in Spicewood next month with indoor cages, pitching machines, private coaching, and enough swing-tracking technology to tell you exactly why that one went foul.
Fall, Is That You? After another stretch of triple-digit days, forecasters see a possible pattern shift around September 21 that could finally bring cooler air to Central Texas. Nobody touch the sweaters yet, but we’re listening.
620’s Very Long To-Do List. The long-awaited RM 620 widening could finally start in early 2029, beginning with the stretch from Hwy. 71 toward Dave Drive. The bigger plan calls for six through lanes, turn lanes, medians, and shared-use paths with other sections not slated to start until the 2030s.

Adopt Me. Mama Bunny was found giving birth among the rocks near the border, injured but still caring for six tiny puppies. Addicus Legacy Rescue took in the whole family, and now the pups are growing fast and expected to be ready for homes later in October. Pre-adoptions are opening early, so consider this your warning before the puppy photos do their work.
