Hope After the Flood

Additional ways to help and events with big-hearted missions

Today’s water level: 67.9%

A Double Take. After a weekend of relentless rain and unimaginable loss across Central Texas, something breathtaking happened Sunday evening - a double rainbow stretched across our skies.

It stopped us in our tracks - not just for the beauty, but for what it symbolized: a glimmer of hope. A reminder that even after the darkest storms, light finds its way through. Over the past week, we’ve seen this community rise up - donating, volunteering, and showing up for one another. We couldn’t be prouder to be part of it.

We’re holding this image close as we turn toward what keeps us grounded - the good, the local, the everyday joys.

Ways to Help. We’ve updated the list of flood relief efforts and local donation drives.

Save the Date. These events are worth planning ahead for with big-hearted missions.

Pace Yourself. A scenic trail that’s the setting for one of this week’s standout events.

Earlier this week, we shared a list of ways to support those affected by the Central Texas floods. Since then, even more neighbors, businesses, and community groups have stepped up. We’ve updated our list with new ways to give, help, and get involved. You can find everything at the link below.

PACE BEND PARK TRAIL
Spicewood
Difficulty: Moderate
Length: 12.4 miles (about 4 hours 23 minutes)
Pet-Friendly: Yes (leashed)
Why it’s worth it: Tucked in Pace Bend Park, this shady, forested loop is a moderately challenging escape for hikers, bikers, and birdwatchers alike. It’s a bit rugged, lightly trafficked if timed right, and while the views are minimal, the peace and quiet make up for it. Bring an offline map - it’s easy to miss a turn - and don’t forget it’s a shared trail.
