Clearly, y’all really like dogs.
Adopt Me is consistently one of the most-clicked sections in this newsletter, which tells us two things: you love pups, and you’re paying attention. While not every dog featured will be adoptable, we’re quietly hoping this section helps at least one very good dog land a great home.
Now we want to meet yours. Send us a photo with their name, breed, and age - they just might pop up in The Current.
To kick things off, meet Marshall, our 8-month-old Golden Retriever, whose overwhelming cuteness is currently disguising what can only be described as a maniacal land shark. If you know a great trainer, our inbox is open.
Now, onto what’s happening around the lake.

Last Week’s Poll Results. We asked our married readers how long they’ve been together, and Lake Travis, you’re quietly setting the standard.
A full 35% of you have been married 30+ years. That’s not a phase. That’s a legacy.
One reader wrote, “61 years on March 26, 2026.” Happy early anniversary!
Another shared, “32 wonderful years and counting ❤️”
And then this beautiful reminder landed in our inbox:
“Every 5–10 years people change, even if it’s in small increments. They change how they look, what they think and like, and how they feel about the world. So, if you’re in it for the long haul, don’t just accept change, expect and embrace it. Give your partner and yourself space to breathe differently as time goes by. You’ll both love each other more through all the new experiences you discover.”
There’s something comforting about knowing that behind so many front doors around the lake are stories measured not in months, but in decades - built through reinvention, patience, inside jokes, and a thousand ordinary Tuesdays.
Now the real question: have you found your forever pup, too?
Do you currently own a dog? |

Walls of Glass. Perched in Apache Shores, this glass-wrapped retreat feels like borrowing a very stylish architect’s weekend home. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with light, soaking tubs and oversized beds keep it indulgent, and the balconies were clearly built with sunsets in mind.
Not for a crowd - perfect for a quiet, design-forward escape where the view does most of the talking.

Grand Opening. iCode Bee Cave opens its doors Friday with free activities, giveaways, live music, and a shot at George Strait tickets - all at 11805 Bee Cave Rd starting at 2pm.
End Of An Era. After 15 years, The League in Lakeway has poured its last round - but the TC4 & Co. team says a new Cousin Louie's is already in the works.
New Flavors. SOHO Asian Fusion has quietly landed off Quinlan Park in Steiner Ranch, plating everything from fresh Vietnamese spring rolls to Korean short ribs.
Adopt Me. Meet Scarlett, a gentle soul who went from fearful stray to happy tail-wagger, and is now ready to find the calm, loving home she's always deserved.

We all brag about our sunsets, and for good reason, but this double rainbow over the lake? That’s Lake Travis showing off. Even the sky decided one arc just wasn’t enough.
