About Us

We’re your Sweetwater neighbors who moved here a couple of years ago and quickly fell for everything that makes this area special: the people, the views, and that feeling that something good is always happening if you know where to look. One of us is a proud (and slightly nostalgic) University of Texas alum, and even with deep Austin roots, living out here has felt like discovering an entirely new side of the city as the area continues to grow.

Like many of you, we’re busy. We’ve got an energetic four-year-old who keeps us on our toes, and weekends fill up fast. We found ourselves asking the same questions over and over: What’s going on this weekend? Is it kid-friendly? Is it actually worth leaving the house for? Too often, the answers required way too much Googling.

So we decided to do something about it.

What started as a simple way to keep track of local events, food, and happenings has grown into a weekly guide for busy neighbors who want to get more out of where they live - without the endless searching. Our goal is simple: help people discover what’s happening around the lake, support local businesses, and turn “we should do that sometime” into actual plans.
